Take-Two Interactive Studios has released their for fiscal year 2016. Most of the report is interesting, giving an idea of just how much money Take-Two and its developers have made through their many projects. However, one statement has started the internet buzzing. Deep in the financial report Strauss Zelnick, Chairman and CEO of Take-Two is speaking about upcoming projects for late 2016 and into 2017. Here he says “Rockstar Games is of course hard at work on some exciting future projects that will be revealed soon.” Of course, it isn’t totally unexpected that Rockstar Games, the makers of GTA V and Red Dead Redemption are working on something new. However, with how much money they have been making from GTA Online, some suspected that they would continue pushing it over new projects for some time.

Apparently that is not the case and they have something in the works that will be revealed soon. This would likely cause many to assume that they would announce a GTA 6 or Red Dead Redemption 2 at E3 2016, which will take place next month. Unfortunately, Rockstar Games hasn’t really used the expo as a means of making big announcements.
Aside from showing off their games during the Microsoft and Sony press conferences, they have largely skipped E3 in years past. Still, if they have something as big as GTA 6 or Red Dead Redemption 2 coming up they might go for it this year.
Either way, it is just good to know, for sure, that Rockstar Games is working on something brand new for gamers to enjoy. GTA Online is great fun, but it has worn out its welcome for a lot of people, and they are looking forward to something fresh from the developer. Rockstar Games confirmed the game will not be titled “Grand Theft Auto 6”, but instead “Grand Theft Auto: Lake City”. The ‘Lake City’ being the name of the Chicago based city.
“It fits perfectly, Chicago is a major U.S. City and one of the most known. We knew we needed a game in Chicago and ‘Lake City’ was a perfect name simply because the city is bordered by Lake Michigan on the east. And for now we can only reveal the main character will be African American; hell, we might even make that Chief Keef guy the main character. I really disagree in a game before modern times in GTA, the idea sounds cool, but think about it, it would be very limited, just old weapons, old cars, old clothes, old aircraft and boats, and “bye” to the use of the phone, i like the style don’t get me wrong.but i also want modern things and GTA has always been a game offering both. As for the city, no matter how big it is, i really hope they add more than one.
